Thursday in the Garden

This is new, several of our plants died because they couldn't handle the summer heat so Mommy finally got around to replacing them. This is called Jams 'N Jellies Blueberry Vinca. It starts out a sort of pinkish purple and darkens to a bluish purple.

This is pink verbena.

And this is Cora Cascade Peach Blush Trailing Vinca. The name made Mommy think of her Double Great Aunt Cora. Mommy loved going over to her house Double Great Uncle Dan was always working in the yard, they had beautiful flowers. And Mommy and Grandma Agnes always got bacon and biscuits Double Great Aunt Cora had made to eat.

Our Yellow Bells, it is just beautiful this year. Lots of blooms and seed pods.

The Red Cestrum is almost ready to bloom. Something has been nibbling on it's leaves.

The Pineapple has interesting purple flowers.

Our Sky Flower is gorgeous this year.

More of the Yellow Bell.

We just love the Butterfly Flower.

All these Zinnias are growing on one stem, but don't they look gorgeous.

The Trumpet Vine.

It has a really large seed pod. Mommy grew this from a seed.

Our Pink Lantana down at the Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden.

Sickle Pod, it relocated itself to the burn pile in back of the pond.

This is a little orchid growing wild.

And last but not least our cheerful yellow wildflowers.
