Yang here

Mommy said that this nice lady named Mrs Ann made this badge for me and that a whole bunch of you are purring and praying for me. I sure do appreciate it.

I almost died and I am only 4 weeks old. It all started Wednesday (September 9th) when Youngest Boy who is awfully nice got us out to play. He noticed I was acting strange. I was having trouble standing up and slid right out of his lap when he was cuddling me. Mommy rushed me to Big Ridge and by the time I got there I was even worse. I couldn't lift my head or swallow and my temperature was very low. They discovered I had Coccidiosis!!!! Even though the stool sample I gave them September 5th was clear. They tried to give me some medicine for it, but I couldn't even swallow it. It looked like I was a goner for sure.

Mommy brought me home and they tried to keep me warm and they tried to get me to swallow, but I just couldn't, then I got diarrhea. Mommy knew that without fluids I wouldn't never make it so she rushed me to the ER vet in Woolmarket. And they gave me fluids and shots for the diarrhea and when I threw up medicine for that too. It was a long..................... long ..........................night but Thursday morning things stared looking up. I started swallowing and eating. The nice vet lady couldn't believe it, she said it was a 180 degree change. I just know it was all the love everyone was sending me and Mommy's promise. See everybody thought I was going to die and Mommy couldn't stand it, so she promised me if I would fight to live she would keep me and love me forever.

I am doing better I am eating a critical care food in addition to my kitten formula. At first I wasn't really interested in eating but finally this afternoon I started acting hungry and actually ate out of the bowl for Mommy. I am taking an antibiotic and a vitamin supplement.  Yin and I both are taking Albon for the nasty parasites. I get tired easy and Yin doesn't understand why I don't have the energy to play with her for long. We play for a few minutes but then I just get to tired to play. I usually crawl up in Mommy's lap and sleep while Yin plays. When I start stirring Mommy tries to get me to eat and I eat between napping then Yin finally eats, today we ate together because by that time I had some energy again and stood up to eat instead of eating while laying down. and then she plays some more and I nap some more and then when she finally gets sleepy we both go back in the extra huge dog carrier that Mommy has turned into a kitty suite with a fluffy bed and litter box, and some water. And then Mommy does other stuff like feed the other cats and dogs and laundry and human stuffs while we are sleeping.

I am exhausted now so I will talk to everyone again later. I think I will like blogging. Yang

We are sending you many purrs and gentle headbutts in the hope that you will soon feel better. Lucy had to go to our vet yesterday as she felt very hot and Mum got very worried about me as I wouldn't eat. I have just had a few mouth fulls of chicken in sauce so Mum has crossed her fingers that I'll take a few more bites in a little while.
