Poem "Vase", Thankful Thursday in the Garden

The Coleus are still looking nice and providing us with lots of color.

We like the purple blooms best though.

Daddy needs to hurry up with fixing the greenhouse because it is almost time to put them inside for the winter.

The Porterweed is purrty.

Our Iochroma, Violet Churur 'Royal Queen' is doing great.

Cape Honeysuckle blooming up a storm.

We just love the Blue butterfly bush aka Clerodendrum ugandense

This is one of the native plants we got at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center.

These are the names it goes by Salvia azurea Pitcher sage, Big blue sage, Azure sage, Giant blue sage, Blue sage

Ironweed

Firespike

Red Cestrum

This is another native plant Gaura lindheimeri ‘Whirling Butterflies’

Cape Honeysuckle

Confederate Rose, even though it has rose in it's name it's not a rose, it is a type of Hibiscus Native to the area.

We love it's hot pink color.

We are very thankful for all our pretty flowers and that they are still blooming in November. We understand from some of our kitty friends that their flowers go away in the Fall.

Now for our poem using the letter V

Vase

It's hard to choose the perfect vase
a cut glass one will reflect your face
but we are fond of the blue vase
with butterflies on the case
sprays of wildflowers in our vase
with roses get lots of praise
adding Goldenrod does amaze
and will set any arrangement ablaze
with colors sure to garner praise

We have NO flowers left - everything has "closed up shop" for the season....only one potted mini-rose on the porch and a pink impatiens which just won't give up! HAHA You have such beautiful flowers and no wonder that inspired your "V" poem for today about vases! Picking a pretty vase to go with flowers is fun...they compliment each other. Thanks for pawticipating in my Poetic Thursdays.....

Hugs, Sammy
