Thankful Thursday in The Garden Early Flowers on Friday

Hard to believe these pictures were taken Feb. 11th, we had a very early Spring this year. The Forsythia was in full bloom.

Daddy finally mostly finished (he is still tweaking them) the flowerbeds and bought Strawberries to put in them. We were very THANKFUL for Daddy's plumbing of the flowerbeds as it allowed us to have running water in our house when the water tank on our pump rusted out, thanks to our wonderful neighbors who shared their water with us until we could get our tank fixed.

We have two varieties of Strawberries now. The new ones have large pink flowers and produce larger and sweeter fruit. The old ones have small white flowers and produce tarter strawberries that are much smaller.

These raised beds make it easier for Mommy to weed and pick the Strawberries.

The Blueberries have a bumper crop this year. We are thankful to have fresh Strawberries and Blueberries to eat.

Daddy has been working very hard in our yard.

Don't the Blueberry blooms look pretty.

Mommy was tempted to get her flowers out of the Greenhouse early as all our outside plants were saying it was Spring, but luckily she waited because we had a cold snap. The Flowering Maple was ready to welcome Springs.

 So was the Bugleweed.......

 Our Pansies.

The Mother of Millions was actually blooming when it was suppose to, it blooms in the Winter.

Our Lemon Balm and Wolf Berry were ready for Spring. ~ATCAD

Spring came very early here too. We didn't have much of a winter at all so our flowers began blooming in February. I'd love to grow strawberries and blueberries. Yummy!

Working with nature is always so rewarding, even more so when nature offers some of the fruit of the seasons for us to enjoy.
Looks like you will have quite a wonderful display this year, both fruit and flower. So glad that water situation was sorted too. Purrs, ERin

Beautiful flowers and all those berries are going to be great.

It's good to have the strawberries in a raised bed so they don't spread all over the place.

A great way to garden with those raised beds. Petcretary is trying that too this season. Tomatoes, and herbs on ours for now. Maybe some undeplantings of lettuces. Mmmm!

You have lovely and unusual flowers!
