It's nice having Socks back in the header. I miss him, he was the first cat to accept me when I came to live here. For those of you who don't know my story the man who adopted me moved away, his extended family agreed to look after me but they already had two dogs and their dogs didn't like me and chased me off. So I took myself off on adventures ...once I got snakebite, the lady took me to the vet and discovered I had heartworms, but her husband wouldn't let her get them treated. Anyway when I was off having adventures I started stopping at Mom's house for food and pets and once after she fed me Socks came touched my nose and sat down by us for some pets too. So Mommy knew it would be OK for me to be part of the family. Mommy eventually met the nice lady that took care of me and she had my medical records transferred to my new vet and some nice people in Blogville helped me get my heartworm treatment. To everyone's surprise since I am a hunting breed I have never chased the cats, Mommy says I am very good with them.
This handsome fellow used to come around.
We think he and Socks were friends, we haven't seen him since Socks died. See that bush behind Tabby. Right before Socks died he was very frail and spent most of his time sleeping. Mommy wouldn't allow him outside without her but everyday no matter how bad the weather was Socks insisted on going outside to this bush he would sniff it, then scent mark it and if the weather was nice he would lay in a sun puddle for as long as Mommy would let him. If it wasn't nice he would go inside after scent marking the bush.
Anyway this cat always came to the bush and sniffed it and scent marked it too. We think he and Socks were leaving messages for each other.
A few days after Socks died he stopped coming by. ~Tuiren, reporting for ATCAD
