Tuiren Tuesday

Mom took us for a walk around the property, she let Fenris walk off leash and he went to see what the cats think is so great about Daddy's wildflower bed.

Some of the wildflowers are so tall you can't even see Fenris.

Next we went down to the Butterfly Garden and enjoyed the Hibiscus.

We are getting lots of rain again.

Mommy says we need to scout for places to plant the trees she got at the Arbor Day giveaway, so Daddy can plant them if the ground ever dries out enough.

We love the wildflowers that grow in our yard, they are such pretty flowers and best of all Mommy doesn't have to do a thing for them, other than enjoy them.

Daddy doesn't cut the patches where the wildflowers grow and all sorts of interesting things live in there.

I hope one day Mommy will trust me to walk off leash so I can chase befriend them. ~Tuiren, reporting for ATCAD

Wow, you have so much land! That is not something we get to have where we live. We have a little over a quarter of an acre, and that is considered huge in our area!

We were lucky we bought our land before the casinos came, we probably couldn't afford it now. But that is one of the advantageous of living in Mississippi.

It looks like you and Fenris had a great time exploring your yard and it's always great to see you Tuiren.

Tuiren, we are attempting something similar in our yard, using native Michigan species of plants. We want to attract butterflies, birds, bees and bats...and hope that The POM leaves 'em all alone! It's wonderful to see green; thank you for sharing!

Hmmm, wonder if Mom would let us walk through the wildflowers if she were brave enough to plant them in our yard:) No worries, Tuiren, we are ALWAYS on leash too unless we are in the fenced yard.

Not everydoggie is meant to be off leash, T. I am one that is not allowed. You too, apparently. Bummer. You still got to visit some sweet places.

Love and licks,

I get to roam in my one acre of fenced yard...and in the back its wild and there are critters there, and lots of wild flowers, too...and dare I woof about all the weeds?? BOL! Petcretary has a real time to keep them from getting out of control...sigh...peeps tell her to spray them, but then she might ruin more than the weeds...so she beheads them and makes sure they do not go to seed if she can help it. Pulling them out only encourages any seeds in the ground to sprout. Blech...most of our weeds are the ones with stickers and clingers on them or they are invasive.
