Flowers on Friday

While cactus are very rude and stick you, they also have pretty flowers. Youngest Boy was into cactus at one time. Mom inherited them when he lost interest, she prefers succulents same benefits (need little water) without the stickers.

Lantana. Something ate this one, but Mom was pleased to see it is coming back out. These pictures were taken in March, they are in the yard now.

Wild violet.

Purple Queen, it isn't doing too good something is eating it.

The Hummingbirds love this.

Such pretty flowers.
Something is eating my patio tomatoes, and it is not horn-worms...maybe locusts, or those pesky Japaese Beetles.

You have some super cool and unusual flowers, love them! Mom has a gorgeous Christmas cactus that bloomed big every year, but cat bro Bert kept eating on it and killed it. Cats!

Those are all such pretty flowers. Lantana is one of our mom's favorites. It only grows as an annual up here though.

Although I've planted lots of native plants, to encourage bees, birds and butterflies, there has been scant amount of them this summer. Hope it was just to weird weather!

Mom was so excited to have some pretty lantana this year, like yours. But that darn squirrel sneaks in when we are sleeping and eats all the flowers:( Yours are so pretty.
