Thankful Thursday

We are thankful that we have a vet we trust 100% and that her and her staff are so good with me. See Sunday something weird happened to me. I was sleeping and all of a sudden I partially got up and sort of threw myself toward Mommy and I was shaking really hard. I collapsed at her feet and appeared unable to get up. This was very frightening for me and her. It only lasted about 5 minutes according to Dad and I was fine after that so we waited to go to my regular vet first thing Monday Morning although Mom did Facebook with her during my scary episode. I always appeared to know where I was at and who Mom, Dad, and Yin were. Yinny is a good nurse cat and came to check on me during my episode.

Anyway I did fine, they did bloodwork and were able to rule out several bad things. Although I have lost weight (Mom is hoping that is just because Tuiren was stealing my food. Now that the weather is nice she is sitting by me while I eat so she can insure I am the one eating at least the majority of my food. ) and my red blood count was on the low side of normal. There was blood in my urine and epithelial cells which could mean I have an urinary infection so I am taking Cefpodoxime, I have negotiated a deal where Mom gives me a HUGE amount of peanut butter and a treat for taking it each morning. Even then I run away when she says time for your Treat and Peanutbutter!!! Have you ever run away from TREATS??? ~Fenris reporting for ATCAD

Well I am very thankful I did not go to the vet with Fenris. Chimera did as it was time for her shots. She reports that it was very odd. Mom stayed inside the car the entire time they were there. The nice vet techs came out and collected her and Fenris and after they were done returned them to the car. Mom says it's because they are doing something called Social Distancing due to COVID-19. Mom used her cell phone (and a very detailed note) to communicate with them. Mom says COVID-19 is also why Youngest Boy doesn't go to work anymore. The restaurant he worked at shut down due to the virus. It is also preventing Mom from visiting with  Miss Tammy. Dad still has to go to work as does oldest boy.

I will be thankful when this awful virus goes away. Stay safe and keep your humans home if you can. ~Scylla, reporting for ATCAD

Fenris, I'm so glad to hear you are doing well now. We always get our pills in a glob of peanut butter and have never refused to take them. It's nice to see the kitties let you sleep in your own bed for a change.

Yours,

Millie
