Sunday Selfie Guest
We thought we would share the picture Mom got of this neat bird. Sorry Mom doesn't know it's name. She said while he was very friendly and posed for the photo he wasn't very chatty. Mom thinks it was a young bird learning to fly, she found him laying on the ground and put him in the tree for safety and photo op and kept watch for awhile. He eventually got the knack of flying. ~ATCAD

That is a juvenile Eastern Bluebird! You did a good thing putting him back in the tree. Bluebirds are cavity nesters so the nest is probably in a hole in a tree or maybe a nest box if you have them nearby. You can find out more about them here: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eastern_Bluebird
What a cute first selfie, birdie. You landed in the right spot.
Love and licks,

Aww, he's so cute. Great job by Mom putting him back in that tree. :)
Baby birds already??! Wow! Thanks for helping him/her be safely away form harm. Maybe its parents will help it learn to fly better:)
Yup, a young bluebird!! You can see the blue tinges on the wings.
What a little cutie! Your mom was sweet to take care of him.♥
A real cutie with its whole life in front of it, thanks to your keeping him safe! ❤
That is a pretty cute guest in your tree! And I know he feels safe with your mama protecting him.
To my uneducated eye, this bird looks like a grackle, but that's just a shot in the dark! I once found a bird in the middle of our street, and I picked it up to place it in the garden, because all of the trees around need a long firetruck ladder to get up into!
Nice to meet the mystery bird. Maybe he smashed into a window like they do here and get stunned. We are glad he was able to figure out the whole flying thing.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber - and Dylan!!!
It was great to meet the new bird friend your mom made. We hope you see them more often enjoying the spring warmer weather coming soon. Thanks for the wonderful share. Have a great rest of your day.
