Frightful Friday

This shows what happened to the island better.

Daddy started cleaning up right after the hurricane, but when they ventured to Eldest Boys they discovered trees were down everywhere.

We were without electricity for a long time, but at least we had a generator.

Mom was very sad when she saw the Chinese Witch Hazel had fallen down. She managed to pull it back up and Grandpa helped her stake it better when he was down. It is still alive and we think it will survive.

The Camilla was fine and still had blooms on it.

But there were a lot of trees down. The next week when Mom ventured to the grocery store she discovered the wind had taken out a lot of traffic signals too.

Oh dear, that too bad that things were damaged!
I want a witch hazel bush; hope I can find one this year.

We're glad to hear you have a generator. It's no fun being without power for that long.

Mother Nature can be so beautiful most of the time, but she can also be very destructive.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

WOW! That kitty weather report is terrifying! What a mess. SO glad you're all OK. I sure hope the Witch Hazel tree comes back strong and healthy!

We have used our generator a few times, too, overt the years.

Sorry you have all that awful mess. I hope you do not have more bad storms like that. Thet sure do wreak havoc on everything:(
