Meowing Monday with Scylla

Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by.

Would you like to go for a stroll with me?

Good, lets go look at the flowers.

Pineapple Sage, the leaves taste like pineapples if you eat them. The Hummers like the flowers.

It is just beginning to come up now, these pictures were taken in the fall.

Mom found these wonderful pots at Fraisers' Nursery (she got 2) and planted Confederate Jessamine and lavender in them.

Mom thinks this wildflower is a type of grass. ~Scylla, reporting for ATCAD

Confederate jasmine? Does it smell and ramble like regular jasmine? We just planted another one, jasminoide etoile.

While on a wildflower hike yesterday, we say all kinds of native plants that attract bees, birds, butterflies, and bats! I want them all in my yard! The Hubby, however, doesn't want to spend our savings on cutting down eight HUGE maple trees, so I'll just have to make it work with what I can.

Thanks for the tour, Scylla!

And we had a pineapple sage here one year, it became a huge shrub! And yes, the hummers loved the blooms...but here is is not perennial...
