Little kids need an adult to teach them how to treat us, but as long as your human is around to protect you no need to be nervous Julie. I keep trying to tell my siblings that Mom watches G like a hawk and she showed him how to pet me correctly.
Maybe your human can find some kids to visit you Summer, they do tend to have food with them so lots of treats for us kitties.
