Ann did a gorgeous job on this and really caught Tuiren's personality.
I love this picture Ingrid (Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs) sent Tuiren was never happier then when she was laying in the grass outside and her last days the weather was nice enough that she could enjoy being outside during the day. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday morning she was able to go out in the yard to potty and walk around some. I would keep an eye on her and when she got tired I would help her up to the porch where she could lay on her outdoor bed, with my housecoat over her and watch us work on the greenhouse and putting the plants in it. At some point late Friday night or Saturday morning she got where she couldn't stand. A stroke is suspected. Because she had a history of what they referred to as Old Age Vertigo and the symptoms are somewhat the same I just took it for granted that was what was wrong when she seemed to be having trouble with her balance. How I wish I hadn't assumed it was vertigo and taken her to the vet. Ironically she was due for a checkup in just a few weeks I just saw the reminder to make the appointment in my calendar. So I will always wonder if I had just taken her in Wednesday or Thursday when she first started having trouble if she would still be with us. She was such a good girl even feeling as bad as she must she didn't have any accidents in the house and managed to go outside to potty.
I never intended to have two dogs, but she made her own place in our family and she will be missed so very much. It was weird going for a walk with just Fenris and not having to find a leash..
We are reading all the condolences and it's so nice that Tuiren was loved by so many. Thank you so much for visiting.~Alasandra

Those are all such lovely mementos of Tuiren that you and your Blogville friends made. We've never had much experience with strokes in dogs, but we don't think you should beat yourself up over not taking her to the vet. There might not have been anything that could have been done to help Tuiren anyway. She will always hold a special place in all our hearts and Walter will look forward to when they can meet at the Rainbow Bridge.
Such beautiful memorials, the do help the heart to heal. Bloggers are so nice.
You have a lot of love in your heart for your beautiful little girl. The pain of a loss is equal to the love you felt for who is loss. Let yourself grieve. It is how you heal
Thank you everyone.
That is a lovely tribute to Tuiren. It is highly unlikely the vet could have done anything if you had taken her in earlier. We all have what ifs, it is only natural. She had a good life with you and was much loved. Keep those memories close during the hard times.
They are beautiful memorial images of your sweet girl.
I like to think that our furry companions have their own soul's journey, and that while we do our best, what is meant to be, will be. So be at peace knowing that you did the very best you could with the knowledge you had and that you gave Tuiren a wonderful forever home.
That is a beautiful tribute to such a lovely girl. We are so sorry she is gone.
