Flowers on Friday ( From November)

We had a very warm November. Firebush with Butterfly.

Firebush, also known as Hamelia patens, is a native to the southern U.S. and is a large, woody shrub. It can grow as tall as 15 feet (5 m.), but firebush can also be kept smaller. It grows quickly, shooting up several feet (1 m.) in its first growing season.

Such a pretty flower and very nice arty pics too!
Our Winter has been pretty nice too though we are expecting 24 hours of an
Arctic air mass bringing extremely cold temperatures!
We worry about the outside critters.

That's a lot of butterflies on one plant. Their yellow color looks great with the orange flowers.

It is -4 with a wind chill of -25, the lights came back on after being out for two hours, and your post gave us a needed lift.

Thanks for visiting everyone. We can't imagine living up North where it gets so cold, Mom is a hothouse flower she would freeze to death. Mom thinks 65F is freezing.
