Walking is one of my favorite things to do, especially when I get to go off leash.
You can stop and smell interesting scents.
You can move at your own pace, which these days usually means a slow amble.
But I am still faster than a speeding bullet when I spot a squirrel.
You can give your person the raspberry if they say "leave it".
I just don't zoom back and forth a zillion times any more.
Once upon a time when me and Mom went on walks I ran like 3x as far as she walked. See I ran ahead, then came back, then ran ahead, then came back you get the idea. Now I just generally walk beside her, with small detours to sniff.
Youngest boy has been doing a good job keeping our path clear.

we love the raspberry photo ... a funny furryday and a happy weekend to you all
What a great walk you had Fenris :)
Nice to be off leash too ;)
I bet you are a responsible dog.
After all you don't want to miss an opportunity to see a squirrel ;)

Hello, handsome ... we walk a bit slower to, but it's rather nice to be able to "stop and
smell the flowers" as they say. And who knows, you just might find a special treat to
catch along the way! Happy Every Day to you!
What a great place you have to go for walks, Fenris. We try to chase the squirrels too, but they usually find a tree to climb before we get to them.
You do have great place to stroll with your Mom...and taking it easy means you have more time to enjoy it to the max!
Nice to see you having fun outside Fenris. XO
Thanks for coming by to visit everyone. ~Fenris
