I wanted to show you something I saw on my walk wayback in December. It's something you rarely see down here, and I think it's the first time I saw it, but Mom reports she has seen it before.

The pond froze... we waited to go walking until around lunch time, so the ice had started to crack but having a pond full of ice is not normal for us. Mom said once long ago when Whiskers the Wonder Cat was alive he chased a bird out on the ice and went ice skating. Mom said luckily the ice was thick enough to support his weight and he was able to get off the ice on his own, with no harm done. She was worried, cause he was a heavy cat like Yin and Yang.

Gee!! Good thing Fenris did not go through the ice!
The doggie gods were looking out for him :)

That must have been a real cold night to freeze your pond. We like the patterns the ice makes on top of the water.

Ice is like a hot girl friend, pretty but unreliable

Glad you were aboe to preserve the moment in history by taking a picture!
When ice forms it does make artistic formations and patterns! Kind of like when frost happens on window panes.
