Throwback Thursday

What a difference a year makes. Last year Mom took the Grandparents to the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge, now she is taking them to the Mitchell Cancer Institute.

Grandpa was living his best life.

They saw an Eagle.

Mom barely captured the Eagle in this picture.

This is where some of the Mississippi Sandhill Crane's sleep. They sleep in the water as protection from predators.

These are some juvenile cranes that were released recently and still hanging around the building. Most of the Sandhill Cranes are hatched in captivity and then released back into the wild.

We hope you enjoyed touring the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge. It's not to far from our house about a 30 minute drive and is located in Gautier, Mississippi. ~ATCAD

How cool that you have that place so close to home. We have our paws crossed for Grandpa.
