I discovered a new rescue Wednesday. It's housed at Today's Hair's old location. Today's Hair is where I go to get my hair fixed once in a blue moon. The rescue is Gulf Coast Canine Rescue & Rehab located at 2953 Bienville Boulevard #135,Ocean Springs, MS 39564. I am thrilled to know that they have this wonderful location. I just hope a rescue & rehab for cats will spring up one day. The canines and felines in Jackson County have long needed a safe haven.
The felines in Ocean Springs are lucky to have Sherry. You can contact her at 228-697-2437. She works with the Spay and Neuter Alliance to find homes for stray cats and kittens. She also needs foster families for cats & kittens, if you are interested give her a call. Thanks to Sherry, Charybdis & Scylla have a loving home. But there are many more cats & kittens who need a family, please consider opening your heart to them.
Last but not least Fenris was rescued from the Bay-Waveland Humane Society and I was very impressed with the level of care the animals in their possession receive. They rescue both cats and dogs. Fenris was very lucky to find himself in such a well run shelter.
I didn't start out to find a Canine Rescue & Rehab Wednesday it was a brief detour on my Girl's Day Out. First was getting my hair fixed at Today's Hair. Then I meet an old friend (she moved in next door to me in Meridian, Mississippi when I was four and strangely enough she wound up living down on the Mississippi Gulf Coast) for lunch. We went to Alberti's Italian Restaurant for lunch where I had a very tasty antipasto salad and cheese ravioli for lunch. Their garlic bread is to die for. And we had a nice time catching up with each other. I promise I'll give the blog back to the cats tomorrow, but I just wanted to share my discovery with you today. I hope you don't mind to much.

The greenhouse is getting a real roof this year. Not only should it be harder for the wind to destroy but it should help with the insulation.
After a busy weekend we decided to patronize a new (to us) restaurant, Coffee & More on Washington Avenue (aka Tucker Road) in Ocean Springs. They have salads, wraps and sandwiches perfect for a light meal and their desserts are to die for. I had Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate Cake. I would love another slice. Eldest son's Turtle Cheesecake was yummy too, I managed to get a taste.
