The Mississippi Band of Choctaws is preparing to meet with Jackson County supervisors and the community about possible plans for a casino.
"I have been in touch with (county board) President Tim Broussard and we are coordinating final details for a meeting in the very near future," Melissa Mullinax, a political adviser to Choctaw Chief Beasley Denson, said Thursday.
At Monday's board meeting Broussard will ask the other supervisors to set a date to meet with the Choctaws prior to the board's next regularly scheduled meeting, Sept. 27.
Go to the meeting and tell them NO! Protect our wetlands, protect our wildlife, protect our communities........
