We have been talking about the importance of conserving energy and using alternate energy sources in class, so we thought would we see first hand how solar energy worked.
We ordered a solar fountain. Once the weather cooperated we set it up. The fountain works well as long as the sun is out. Saturday we were able to enjoy the fountain all day (Although we did have to adjust the solar panel a time or two. I think we have found the optimal location and angle for the panel). Alas Sunday it has been overcast, so no power. Although the fountain recirculates water, another flaw is a good bit of water is lost when the fountain loses power. We are working on figuring out a way to correct that design flaw.
