Thirteen Things I Liked About 2007


  1. We adopted Scylla & Charybdis.
  2. We got a solar fountain for the Butterfly Garden.
  3. We got a butterfly bench for the Butterfly Garden.
  4. We had lots of Butterflies come to visit us.
  5. I got to go to the O'Meara Reunion in June.
  6. Eldest graduated from the Community College.
  7. Eldest transferred to a University, at 18 he is in his third year of a Computer Science Degree.
  8. I was able to check lots of good books out of the local public library to read. Libraries are wonderful things, please be sure to support your library.
  9. I made lots of new blog friends.
  10. I was able to contact an old friend from elementary school.
  11. I was able to do lunch every other month with one of my old friends from Meridian who relocated here.
  12. I finally got to meet Natalie in person.

Ah...may I add that I am sure your other children are smart too - as soon as I hit the submit button - I realized how that comment about "one very smart kid" could be construed wrong...

I just thought it was amazing to have done all that at 18!

Don't worry about it Holly, I understood what you meant. And we think Eldest is pretty amazing too. I am really impressed with everything Eldest has done considering he is only 18.

His younger brother is 'smart' in his own unique way.
