Spring is in the air

These violets are growing wild down at the Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden. There is a carpet of them, and it is very lovely.

We got much needed rain this winter. The pond is finally up to it's previous levels. Unfortunately when the pond was lower then usual grass took over.

My red bud is blooming. It looks lovely when it is full of blooms in the spring.

I took advantage of the warm weather we had last week to do some much needed weeding. The Queen Anne's Lace is doing nicely and the Purple Heart and Purple Lantana are beginning to emerge from their winter sleep.

If Hubby makes me another flower bed I plan to buy some cat mint for the garden this year.

Your grounds are looking lovely. Great place to be when the weather fines up and becomes warmer. Lucky kitties!

The pond looks lovely. I know what you mean about the grass in it. Our Swamp has got lots of grass that took over after last years drought. The grass is tall and brown right now, with hints of green finally starting to show through.
