We are purring for her as loud and hard as we can. We went read more about the shelter she is at and discovered that cats and dogs that find their selves in it's clutches only have THREE DAYS to find a home.

We do hope she finds one. She sounds really nice.

We hate this type of story because there are so many of them. We so wish there were more happy ending stories, but there aren't. Jan just posted a number of photos on a blog but she knows most of them will end up being euthanized.

Thanks for telling everyone about Sadie Sue. We so hope she becomes one of the happy ending stories!

Do you actually HAVE to have a fenced yard to adopt from the shelter? We don't have a fenced yard. We all lives inside and we woofies walk Jan.

We don't know what this shelters policies are regarding fenced yards. We really doubt they require one. We still haven't figured out where in Florida she is at.

Mommy does think it would be easier to adopt her if you lived in Florida because of some of the requirements, unless you are part of a non-profit rescue group, but it did sound as if they would work with you.

Mommy has never had an inside dog. All her doggies were outside doggies and originally Mommy thought a Great Pyrenees would be nice. She loves Gramps' dog Little Bit. But after the girls came to live with us she thought we might better get something small so Charybdis wouldn't be scared to death of it. Charybdis is a frady cat she was afraid of Socks when she first meet him.

What does Jan do if you need to go out at night?

Mommy does know that some of the rescues do require fenced yards before they will place a doggie in the home, even if the doggie is going to be an inside doggie. A friend of hers was very upset by the policy as she wanted to adopt a doggie but didn't have a fenced yard. Since she wanted a poodle, she didn't think it would be a problem because she obviously planned to keep it inside. She wound up buying one from a breeder instead of getting a rescue.

Oh, I hope Sadie Sue gets adopted soon! At the shelter my Mommie helps at, when they have some extra room, they go to Animal Control and save some kitties from there. Sadly, there is usually a waiting list of cats wanting to get into the Cats Exclusive shelter since it is no-kill. There are some semi-feral cats who have been there for years!

Daisy,
We do wish all the shelters were no kill like the one your Mommy helps at.

Everyone,
We are keeping our paws crossed and purring extra loud for Sadie Sue

Asta,
We knew Emil was missing and have been purring for his safe return, have they given up or do they know something? We have been very worried about him.
