Update on Georgia needs a miracle

Georgia is a stray/abandoned cat that Zoe and Indy's Mom and Dad rescued. She had to have a hernia repair surgery. When the vet was doing the operation, they discovered things were a bit more complicated then they thought. The upshot is a specialist vet is needed and another surgery to the tune of $4,000.00 is needed. The rescue group that was helping with the cost feels like that is too much for them to pay and that the money could be put to better use helping more animals. You can read all about Georgia at Smudge and Zoe.

Update: The vet is willing to reduce the rate from what he would have quoted ($4000) down to $2600-$3100. They have to get them $2600 by tomorrow morning or Georgia can't have her surgery. If you can help please contact Smudge and Zoe.

We are purring for Georgia. We wish we could do more. We are glad she at least has someone to love and take care of her now. The poor girl was taking care of herself for ages.

Stryder, we love to meet new cats and dogs we were very pleased to find your blog.

Oh, no. Poor Georgia. Thanks for updating us. We can only imagine how the family is feeling right now. We hope a way will open up to save Georgia despite how bleak it looks at the moment.

Thank you so much for posting this here. You're right, we were so upset to lose Smudge. We did absolutely everything we could for him even when he had a 20% chance of survival. Georgia has a way higher chance with this surgery it's almost certain she'll be ok, I just want to give Georgia the same chance and do everything we can. Thanks again for posting so more can help and for all your support through all of this.
