Tidings on Thursday by Alasandra
The greenhouse is getting a real roof this year. Not only should it be harder for the wind to destroy but it should help with the insulation.
After a busy weekend we decided to patronize a new (to us) restaurant, Coffee & More on Washington Avenue (aka Tucker Road) in Ocean Springs. They have salads, wraps and sandwiches perfect for a light meal and their desserts are to die for. I had Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate Cake. I would love another slice. Eldest son's Turtle Cheesecake was yummy too, I managed to get a taste.

Mom said that in the event you ever invite her for lunch, that chocolate place works pretty good for her.
Sank yoo so much fur halpin light candles last nights!
Gandalf and Grayson, our Mom said she wished your Mom could come for a visit. They could do lunch and girl stuff. She is still in shock that eldest bean boy turned down the chance to taste her cake, he said it was too much chocolate. Mommy agrees with Daddy, there is no such thing as too much chocolate.
Tesla, you are welcome. We just wish there was more we could do. ~S, S & C
That's a beautiful greenhouse you have there. I hope you get the roof up soon. Hmm.. maybe I could do something like that for Panther's Sanctuary. What do you think of some colored plastic sheets as the roofing?
Errr... where's the food photos? I'm getting hungry just by the sound of it.. hehe :P

ASTA
Thank you Asta, some of the doggies seemed very BIG. We are sure they are all nice though and we will stay with you and out of the ones who do not like kitties way (how silly they are). ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis
Criz Lai, The clear (plexiglass) panels get very hot. The greenhouse becomes a sauna here during late spring, summer and fall even with the doors open. So if you are wanting shade for Panther you would probably be better off with a metal/traditional roof. ~Alasandra
Jan heard us say cheesecake and she's fighting us for the keyboard. She LOVES good cheesecake. Mmmmmm. Come to think of it, we do to.
Uh, do you think you might email us a piece of that cheesecake? We're all hungry now!
Cheesecake doesn't scan very well.
We tried to scan it in (so we could email it as an attachment) using the super dooper scanner we have, but..............it just went squash. We are busy cleaning up the mess now.
We need a kitty or doggie to invent a scanner that scans in food ASAP, we want some of the whipped cream from Mommy's coffee. Her and boy bean stopped to get on the way home from the book store. And they didn't bring us a thing, not even a crumb of cheesecake.
boo-ho ~Scylla & Charybdis
The whipped cream was very good. Youngest Boy Bean brought me some. ~Socks
Shh...don't tell my sisters.
Oops. We'd apologize for the mess in your scanner, but we assume by "cleaning it up," you mean you - Scylla & Charybdis and possibly Socks - were eating it up. And in that case, no apology needed. By us. You, on the other hand, ate our cheesecake. Sob, sob, sob. Are there any crumbs left?
We are afraid there isn't a crumb in sight (we are very good cleaners), but we are willing to try to scan another piece. ~Scylla & Charybdis
Uh, maybe you should teleport over and pick up your piece in person (er cat & dog). In fact that sounds like a wonderful idea. Meet us at Coffee & More, we can try their sandwiches too. ~Socks
That's a terrific idea! We're on our .......
Here we are! It's kind of crowded here. Where are you sitting?
Here we are, here we are.....at the table closest to the food of course. ~S, S & C
Whew! Thought we'd never find yoou in this crowd. The deserts must be fantabulous!
Cheesecake here we come!
They are, we can't decide what to get. Maybe we will try the Baklava, nobody in our family has had it yet. ~S, S & C
Woohoo!!! Did I hear a triple chocolate cake? SS is such a chocoholic. I am sure she wouldn't turn down that piece of cake.
Mommie says chocolate is yummy, but for some reason she won't let me have any...she says it is bad for us kitties, but I don't get it, if its so bad why does she eat it??? Oh well...I'll just stick to my lizard and mouse gut cake!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and celebrating with me! I have offically entered Mancathood!
We're here! Let's hit the cheesecake bar!
Oh, sorry. That's bad manners.
Hi, S, S & C - Thank you so much for inviting us back. We always have such fun with you. And you cats really know how to eat!
Jan said to tell you she agrees with you. Any d-i-e-t that doesn't include cheesecake should not even be imagined. So she'll take 2 slices before bedtime and not give the bad d-i-e-t a second thought.
MoMo, it is wonderful to see you. If only for a brief visit.
Moki, it was great to get to celebrate your birthday with you.
JFF, you are welcome anytime. Do make sure the cheesecake makes it's way home to Jan. Although if it doesn't you can come back and get more(hmmmm.....).
