Sometimes big brothers can be really annoying.
See I wanted to play, but Socks wanted to finish his book. He is being very rude and telling me to go away. Don't you think he should play with me instead of reading a book?

We understand, Scylla, but maybe Socks has homework to finish so he can head back to college this week with the bean:)

I think Socks should play when you want to but remember when he was missing and how afraid you were that he wasn't home? Remember how you probably said to yourself that if he were home right then and there that you would let him have his own way most of the time? Well. Just be glad that he is home safe and sound and enjoy doing whatever he wants to do.
Brothers are awful sometimes! And we think he wasn't really reading but stealing a nap!
Maybe he is reading "Indoor Kitties for Dummies", might be important, best let him finish it!
Of course he should play with you.
