We still cry about Laika. Laika was the first living creature to orbit the earth and she died from overheating and panic just a few hours after the mission started. We are particularly outraged that the Soviets planned for her to die in space all along.
Now our own country is planning to blast squirrel monkeys with a massive dose of radiation. We do not want our tax money supporting such heinous "research".

I urge everyone to write to their elected representatives urging that action be taken to stop the spending of public funds on the torture of these animals in this cruel experiment.
