Such a beautiful dog... it must be hard not to get to pet him!
Mutt is very scared of me. Which makes me very sad. I would love to be able to pet him and take him for walks when I am visiting my parents. ~Alasandra

I have some friends that have sheep and they have one of those big dogs and they really do their job. Wonder if he would let you pat him if he was away from the goats?? They are gorgeous dogs. Cute goats too. We love goats. Take care.
Mutt doesn't like your mom? He must be anti social. He's handsome, though.
yeah - some of those guardian dogs are like that. mom's brother has one - she was born with the goats but now lives in the house. she can be standoffish until she gets to know you. all she really herds now is the cats and the kid. :)
Maybe your Mom could start playing with the goats. If nothing else, it would confuse Mutt a little.
