I always thought they lived in the water...guess I thought wrong!
Yes, we too thought that they are what we call crayfish...and we find them on warm days if we paddle around in the creek, under rocks. Well, the peeps do, we don't wanna get our poor tootsies wet, hahaha!!

We have a high water table. They do stay mostly in the water and just come up on dry land to eat. I am doing a post about them Thursday.
