Fresh nip is the best! The mom grew some for us but it's looking really bad lately.

It's funny - I've never had a cat that enjoyed fresh catnip, but they almost always enjoy the dried stuff.
Any idea why that would be the case????

It's more potent when it's dry. Socks only eats it when it is fresh. And it is only after he has nibbled on it and crushed some of the leaves that he starts acting frisky. If you have fresh you might try crushing the leaves to get the party started.
We've never had "live" catnip
