Grandpa raises Boer Goats, they have a light colored body
and a distinctive red head.
We think this kid is so cute with his red leg.
He didn't know what to think about Mommy taking his picture.
He watched her like a hawk.
Then he got distracted by his playmates.
They were busy eating.
This goat didn't get the memo about having a white body. She is mostly RED. We thinks she is going to have her babies any day.
Mommy thought this billy was very handsome.
These two kids are butting heads over the grass. Silly things.
In case you are wondering they has ear tags to identify them. It's sort of like earrings for goats. ~ATCAD

I loved seeing all the goats today!
Those goats have the most interesting markings!
Enjoyed the pictures. We used to have a few Nubian dairy goats. They gave delicious milk. :)

A red leg and a red head are cute. Ditto the entire red body. But those ears, though!!! They're the BEST!
Love and licks,

We love seeing all the interesting markings on the goats. That momma goat looks like she is going to explode. Do you think she will have more than 2 kids?
They are very pretty goats.
Grandpa doesn't name them. When Mommy lived with Grandma & Grandpa she would name one or two that Grandpa said she could keep. Grandpa has one goat that has a fancy pedigree and she has a name, although Mommy can't remember it. She came to Mississippi all the way from New Zealand, and was very sick when she arrived in Mississippi. Grandpa nursed her back to health so Mommy calls her Lucky.
That was funny Frankie.
Fenris and Tuiren have never been to Grandma and Grandpa's house. It is a long way from here, almost 3 hours. Even if he did get to visit them Grandpa wouldn't let him play with them. Even Lady O isn't allowed where the goats are.
Maybe sometimes they have 3, but Grandpa usually has to bottle feed or find another Mother for one of them when that happens. Goats just have 2 nipples unlike cats and dogs.
adorable pics of goat and the story that goes along.. loved their Tag errr earrings :P

Those goats look like they are so curious about evfurrything! And how they play. Do they nibble on your clothes and such. Some goats meowmy met in a petting zoo would try to eat her jacket strings...
Are they tame, or do they shy away if you get too close?
Great series of goat pictures...um...and now we know why a beard may be sometimes called a 'goatee'!! Teehee!
Most of them are very friendly and do indeed try to nibble on Mommy. Sometimes it takes them a few minutes to warm up to her. But she can pet most of them, and is forced to by many of them. They will butt her until she pays attention to them.
Such cuties! Love the kid with the solid red leg. I've never seen this type of goat before.
