Flowers on Friday With Miss Yin

Well we finally managed to make it to May, honestly Mom how did YOU get so far behind. The roses were still looking GREAT.

Daddy was busy planting and fertilizing things. I had to keep a close eye on him.

The Tickseed looked purrty on Charybdis' grave.

 The Bottle Bush looked terrific.

The Vitex even looked like it might do well for once, then it started raining and oh well...the Vitex looks like it's barely hanging on. Somebody needs to tell Mother Nature that you aren't suppose to over water it.

Really Mother Nature isn't doing a very good job of looking after our plants. Sometimes she doesn't give them enough water, other times she tries to drown them. It's very naughty of her if you ask me.

The Confederate Rose, it's almost time for it to bloom. It blooms in the Fall, heaven knows when you will see the pictures though.

And the Lantana. ~Yin, reporting for ATCAD

Yinny, this is why I'm planting native Michigan plants from now on...too much upkeep with plants that aren't used to our heat/rain/wind.

Thanks for the great tour of your wonderful garden. You have such a gorgeous backyard to smell all of those beautiful flowers. We are finally starting to get cooler weather here now, but summer is just trying to hang on for a little longer. Enjoy your upcoming weekend.
