Flowers on Friday

These pictures were taken February 7th, our apple tree. It got tricked into putting out leaves early and then we had a cold spell, but we are happy to report it survived and even had apples.

Because of high winds Daddy had to stake it so it would grow straight.

We just love the blooms the apple and pear trees have.

This is our fennel, Mom plants it for the butterflies. It has gone to see now.

And the forsythia it's nothing but green leaves now. ~ATCAD

Apple and pear blossoms are so pretty each spring:)

Petcretary had a big pear tree in her yard when she was a youngster...and the fruits it gave were yummy...squirrels loved then too, MOL!

Maybe we should plant some fennel in a patio pot next year to attract some butterflies!

The Hubby has become a fennel fiend; he cooks it up for us often! Very tasty!

How nice that you can grow your own fruit. We let the birds eat all the fruit that grows on our trees and shrubs.
