Thursday in the Garden with Wildlife (April)

Not sure what this tree/shrub is but it has pretty flowers.

Tickweed growing in the Charybdis Bed.

The Vitex, it got off to such a good start this year that we had hoped that it would finally thrive, but alas it's back to looking puny.

Blue Heron, considering Mom took the picture with her phone we guess it's not to bad.

 Now for some wildflowers.

Mom cleaned all the dead stuff out from around the Ginger Lilies.

We hope you enjoyed the garden tour. ~ATCAD

It has been an odd weather year. We love seeing the blooms you have. Ours are mostly drowned.

I spent a couple of hours digging out a batch of ginger lilies (we've always called them tiger lilies), because I want that whole bed to belong to milkweed, cup plants, ironweed, and various other native varieties to entice butterflies. Our bathroom window over looks that area, so it's a great viewing locale!

We always love taking a stroll around your garden. How cool to have your own heron at your pond.
