Talking on Tuesday

This is a Blue Heron.

Mom is really good at stalking birds for a human she can get pretty close.

Socks' Banana Bush, it's a type of Magnolia.

Chinese Witch Hazel.

Candle Bush.

Loch Ness Monster??? OK it's a snake, but the way Mom and Miss Tammy acted you would have thought it was a MONSTER. It was in a bush in a flower bed they were working in. It would raise it's head like a periscope so now you saw it, then you didn't. Which they thought was creepy.

Mom still preferred that to the snake Yang brought in the house. ~ATCAD

What kind of snake? WOW...not a rattler, thank heaven.
Was it grass snake...they are good ones that help the garden.
Would love to know what it was.

Maybe your mom should tell the heron about that snake so he can have it for a snack. If our mom saw that snake sticking it's head out of the shrub she would have run screaming from it. Was it a poisonous snake? At least around here all we have are harmless garter snakes but we bet you have some more dangerous ones where you live.

All that spring and then the snake. I would have been done in the yard. Snakes scare me to pieces.

Have a fabulous day. ♥

Love that peeking Heron and Dad says that Candle flower is wonderful. I wonder what we would do with a snake like that? Hmm. I bet Rumpy and Einstein would bring it in to visit. Yuck

All such wonderful photos. We would be scared to see a snake poking out of nowhere but glad your mom got some great photos. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic rest of your day.

Herons are very shy, so that was great to get up close like that!

And that sure is some curious snake! Wanted to know who was rustling the plants in its territory?! Is that a black racer? Its so glossy!
