Monsieur et Mademoiselle Monday

Mom said we had a Mexican standoff going on, whatever that is. I said we had a pounce game in progress.

Yin is heavier than me and surprisingly faster, so I try not to wrestle with her too often. My favorite ~~victime~~ wrestling partner is Chimera. ~Mr Yang and Miss Yin, reporting for ATCAD

Mom will never find me here.

The laundry basket is a great hiding spot. It's very comfy.

It like a big cloth basket.

Do you think Mom found me? She has been standing in the same spot for a long time with her phone pointed this way.

Maybe I should make myself smaller.

I am sure she doesn't see me now.

Mancat Monday the Gotcha Day Edition

Today is mine and Yin's Gotcha Day. As we were very young when we came to live here Mom is purrty sure we were born in August.

Hard to believe it was 7 years ago. This is one of the post we first did.

I am really happy we live here.

And somehow I scored Mom's desk today so I am getting to keep her company as she types this.

I sure do enjoy the brief period of sunshine we have.

And can you believe my Mom caught a BIRD. A real honest to god one with feathers and everything.

Somehow it got in the house. When Mom opened the bathroom door, she had just got through soaking in the tub it came flying in. Mom closed it in the bathroom while she locked us cats in Sean's room then she preceded to stalk it and somehow managed to catch it. She carried it outside to the bird feeder where it would be safe (the bird feeder is a house with a porch, Mom put it on the porch) until it was ready to fly away. We were then released from captivity but Mom did keep us inside until she saw the bird fly off. None of us seem to know how it got in the house and flew all the way back to Mom's room.

Mom said since it was our Gotcha Day we could invite our friends over. We asked to have a shrimp boil.

Corn on the cob, sausage and shrimp all you can eat.

and fried Oyster Po boys.

For dessert we have Home Made Ice Cream.

And Watermelon fresh from our Garden. I hope you enjoy.

It's bath time!

Me and Yin always groom each other.

Sometimes our grooming sessions turn into wrestling sessions.

I love my sister.

She has always taken care of me.

Well until she ditched me to take care of Chimera, but Scylla looked after me then.

Hello Mr Lizard, oh hey everybody did you come to see our flowers?

This is the Coral Bean, it is a native plant and it blooms in May. The Hummingbirds love it and if they visit it. It has beans.

Ours has beans now so ...

Have you meet The Frog Family before. They sure do have big peepers.

Happy 4th of July!

Back in April our Strawberries started producing fruit. Mom got all excited about it.

I still hanging out in the Jungle Gym sometimes it's a good place to sharpen your claws and chase lizards.

Mancat Monday ~The Yang Report

Besides Community Cats Ocean Springs also has Community Roosters. Mom and Grandpa got a kick out of sharing a meal with this fellow at Glory Bound.

Mom and Mrs Tammy visited this rooftop restaurant before it got cold, it wasn't enclosed at the time. You had to climb stairs to get to the top so Grandpa said he would pass.

Mom took Grandpa to Glory Bound and thy had steak and shrimp gyros and french fries.

I really don't see why I wasn't invited. I have impeccable table manners. ~Yang, reporting for ATCAD

Yin & Yang

Trumpet Vine.

Beauty Berry. The birds love this bush, it looses it's leaves in the winter but it keeps the lovely purple berries until the birds eat them. Mom says you can also make jelly from the berries but we don't know for sure.
