These geese come to our pond every Spring, the Mother Goose nest on the island in the middle of our pond.
This year we had a lot of rain and we thinks some of the eggs may have gotten washed out of the nest. They only had two goslings hatch this year, last year they had seven.
Mommy uses the telephoto lens on her camera to take pictures of them.
They are very nice geese and don't bother us as long as we leave them alone.
These pictures were taken back in April. The goslings are as big as their parents now.
This little fellow looks like he was posing for his picture.
We hope you enjoyed seeing the Canadian Geese, we are always sad to see them leave and look forward to their return every Spring. ~ATCAD

Wildlife Wednesday
The Mother Goose is taking a break from sitting on the nest.
Here she is back on the nest.
The Gander has even been allowed on the island.
And here is a Mockingbird. It seems to think the Hummingbird Cottage belongs to it.
Thursday in the Garden
The Wisteria is simply gorgeous when it blooms, we wish it bloomed all year.
The Verbena in this bed is doing better. We needs to get some more to feel in the gaps.
Bugleweed
Bugleweed
We got too much rain at one time and the pretty blue flowers and the Phlox died. But the buttercup is doing good.
This Verbena is doing really good, and you can see the Camilla blooming behind it.
The Goose family. This is one of the last pictures we have of the whole family. We don't know if you can tell from the picture, but where the pond is suppose to be is just MUD!!! The BAD BEAVER broke the dam and let all the water out. We thinks a predator killed Father Gander. For awhile Mother Goose and the Goslings were around. The last time we saw her she only had three goslings with her. Then the BULLY GEESE showed up and drove her and the goslings off.
We are very sad that we didn't get to see the goslings grow up this year and that something happened to the majority of the family. We hopes Mother Goose and the three remaining Goslings are safe somewhere. Daddy fixed the dam and we finally got enough rain to fill the pond back up. ~AFSS

Easter Surprise
We have a pair of Canada Geese that visit our pond every spring. The goose has been sitting on a nest for about a month now. Today apparently they hatched out and Mrs Goose & Mr Gander took the goslings for a stroll. It was a very nice Easter Surprise.
