I am the office cat. It is my job to see that ATCAD is published. Mom says I am a decent office manager, except when I dangle over the keyboard and swat her as she types.

Hello everyone. I am busy not looking at Mommy. 

You can see how I snuck into the Tabby Cat Club in this picture. Me and Scylla both have stripes, although Scylla's have faded a good bit as she has aged.

Scylla says I am a Spring Chicken, whatever that means. I don't look at all like Grandpa's chickens. 

Scylla is silly sometimes.

It is so wet in back we have been hanging out in front a good bit.

It's dryer up front, the yard drains better.

We have had a lot of hummingbirds this year.

And butterflies, there was a silly butterfly sitting in Mom's swing the other day. It flew off when Mom tried to take it's picture. ~Chimera, reporting for ATCAD

Winsome Wednesday with Chimera

 

Hello everyone, I don't believe it the Sun finally decided to visit us.

I am going to stick close to the house just in case the rain comes back. (sigh) I always seem to get caught in the rainstorms. Mom laughs as me when I come it soaking wet. Then she tries to dry me off with a towel. No thanks Mom, I don't like your towel drying.

The Jungle Gym has a roof so I should be safe from the rain up here.

But so far it looks like the sun is going to stick around.

I sure hope so because Dad needs to cut the grass.

I wonder if I can still manage the Chi way down. Unlike the other cats I used to leap from the roof into the tree to get down. But I was a silly kitten then.

PeeS: Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day and we want to let Miss Yin know we appreciate her so much. Mom messed up the post so Yin will be doing the Sunday Selfies. 

Winsome Wednesday with Tuiren & Chimera

 

Well the vixen has stolen Fenris' bed again. If he really wants to get in the bed he will just nudge her to move to her corner. But since Mom is in the kitchen Fenris is in the kitchen. Honestly I don't know what he thinks is going to happen if he doesn't stay right by her side but...I am sensible and get my beauty sleep I don't hop up every time Mom does. Honestly I don't know how he gets any rest.

You don't see this often in South Mississippi, yep that's right icicles. Real ones.

I think this would make a very nice Christmas picture for next year. What do you think?

This one just turned into a hot mess. It's kinda arty though.

I don't know maybe I should consider a different backdrop.

I am going to scout for a better location.

Maybe if I foil us it will look better.

Winsome Wednesday, Wicked & Wild #AtoZChallenge

Mommy says I act like a wild thing when I play. And Yin says I am wicked when I bites her.

But even when I am wicked and wild, I am always winsome.

Winsome - generally pleasing and engaging often because of a childlike charm and innocence <a winsome smile>

Chimera, the winsome kitty at ATCAD 

Update, those who know us on Facebook know Chimera got spayed the 19th of April and had her hernia repaired. Yesterday she had to go back to the vet and have some new stitches put in as she managed to get two of the stitches from the hernia repair out. She is also now on antibiotics to keep it getting infected. ~ATCAD

Quiet #AtoZChallenge

 Shhh, you have to be quiet when you are trying to sneak up on things.

 First you zero in on your prey with your laser eyes, then you remain still and quiet.

 Next you quickly pounce.

 You may need to repeat these steps as necessary.

And of course you should always strive to present yourself in a queenly manner, after all you want the humans to remember who is in charge. The silly things seem to think just because they have opposable thumbs they rule the world. ~Yin, HRH reporting for ATCAD

Kittens #AtoZChallenge

Yin (Black Kitten) and her brother Yang are known collectively as the Yoga Kittens. You can read how they were rescued in the post Yin & Yang (National Feral Cat Day).

You would never known that they were born into a feral cat colony. They love our people and Yin loves being inside. She hardly ever goes outside without Mommy.

The chair is one of her favorite places to sit.

She likes to spy on Daddy when he is working outside. And er, well I sort of took the chair away from her. I am of course the cutest kitten.

You can read how I arranged to live here in the post Thankful Thursday.  It's a heartwarming Christmas story if I do say so myself.

As you can see I fit right in.

I love to groom, I groom myself and everybody else.

Yin, has lovely silky fur.

Yin and Yang have grown to be rather LARGE.

Yin, is one of the kindest cats we have ever known. She took me under her paw when I first came to live here and helped Mommy take care of me. When I was so little my eyes and ears weren't even open yet she would sit in the chair with me and Mommy and watch Mommy bottle feed me. When I got a little bigger she started bathing me. And when Yang started trying to play with me, she watched him like a hawk to make sure he didn't hurt me. ~Chimera, the cutest kitten ever.

Elegant #AtoZChallenge

I am practicing looking elegant this modeling session.

Mommy says black is very stylish and elegant, so I am always dressed to the nines.

It's hard to look elegant when Chimera wants to play though.

She isn't elegant, but she is adorable and cute.

I don't think she could look elegant if her life depended on it.

So I guess my modeling gig is secure, I have the market on elegant cornered. Yang is a clown, Chimera is adorable and cute, Socks is distinguished and Scylla is, well Scylla. Now Fenris can give me a run for my money as he is a very good male model, but Tuiren is kinda camera shy. So I don't think I have anything to worry about, do you?  ~Yin, reporting and modeling for ATCAD
